Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan or two 9-inch round pans.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into prepared pan(s) and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
